Every human being needs love or companionship to survive. In the book"Frankenstein", the monster realizes that he is in need of this. There are a few reasons why having love or a companion is important.

One reason humans needs companion is because we wouldn't be able to compare ourselves to anything. This means we will have no way to experience who we are. For example, we can call ourselves nice or generous but you really don't know that unless you have someone else to share that with and help define it. Having a companion can help us to understand who we are and what we want to be.

Another reason why companions are importan to humans is because we need someone to share life with. It is much easier to lives ones life while sharing it with a person you love. One can not survive the world alone, you must work together with someone to stay a whole.

In this situation, one of the main characters, Steve, takes his rejection really good. As he says, he is asking her the question for the one thousandth time. He is obviously used to Laura's response. In this case, steve is happy to hear Laura's response because she rejects  him in different words. I myself think there is a reason he keeps continuing to ask Laura on dates. He has heart and he is determined to get the one he loves. A person sometimes has to keep putting up with rejection until they finally get what he or she wants. Then everything works out fine.

       As one gets older, throughout their life, he or she starts to gain something big. That is responsibility. Responsibility is to have a certain duty or the fact of being held accountable for a situation. My personal definition is different, it goes beyond just having a duty.To me, responsibility is being able to be reliable and trustworthy. It is when someone is given the opportunity to be in charge of and be the one to answer the questions in an action.
        Like i said, Responsibility is being able to be held accountable for an action. When something happens that involves you, even the slightest bit you sometimes have to take responsibility. For example if your friend lent you his bicycle, with out telling you the brakes didn't work and you crash it, you are not responsible. Your friend is because you were not told about the faulty bike. Now, if you were to crash the bike with it being just fine, you would have to take full responsibility because the bike was perfectly fine, you just were not being careful.

People through the ages have explored the unknown. I believe this is possible through imagination and determination. Many many people have devoted themselves into a life full of exploration and discovery. This is mainly because there are so many questions unanswered and "unknown". People who are willing to explore different things and subjects tend to make sacrifices. Some get caught up in their research and disoveries and tend to sacrifice time with family, or time with other jobs. They could come across great opportunities, but turn them down because they choose to keep exploring.
